When choosing a Croquet Set there are a number of important parts to consider; here is a basic guide. NB - if any of this information is ever not stated be wary!

Croquet Balls - What are they made from and the size and weight. Contrary to popular belief plastic or composite balls are superior to wooden balls which will deteriorate from first use. The official size and weight is 16oz and 3 5/8 inches. Lighter and smaller balls are fine for recreational or junior play.

Croquet Mallets - What are the mallet heads and handles made from? What is the length? Do the mallet heads have any protection? All Uber Games Croquet Sets are supplied with mallets of varying heights to suit players of different heights.

Croquet Hoops - The thickness of the metal. The thicker the metal the stronger and better the hoops.

Extras - what are supplied with the Croquet Set - Flags, Clips, Hoop Mallet and Yard markers

Bag or Box - This is a personal choice. Note that a croquet set in a box is heavy and will probably require two people to carry. We currently supply all our Croquet Sets in bags but offer a box as an extra.
