Contrary to popular belief plastic or composite Croquet balls are superior to wooden Croquet balls which will deteriorate from first use. The official size and weight is 16oz and 3 5/8 inches. Lighter and smaller balls are fine for recreational or junior play

Croquet Hoops - The thickness of the metal. The thicker the metal the stronger and better the hoops. Also consider how easy it is to place the croquet hoop.

Croquet sets all come with a range of extras. Look out for flags, croquet clips, a croquet hoop mallet, and croquet yard markers. Different sets will have different amounts and quality extras

Croquet storage options - Bag, Trolley or Box - This is a personal choice. Note that a Croquet Set in a box is heavy and will probably require two people to carry.
